thank you VERY much for pointing my mind to the obvious... i appearantly had this problem once, i found two ant-tasks.jars in that folder and now renamed maven-ant-tasks.jar to maven-ant-tasks.jarBU and maven-ant-tasks-2.0.8.jar to maven-ant-tasks.jar and now everything works.
