FYI, I'm on vacation in Ocean City MD starting tomorrow - but I will have internet access. The goal of releasing a week after 2.9 still seems very realistic - we just need to decide to finish all open issues one week from Lucene's code freeze. And all of a sudden, Lucene went from 0 open issues, back to 16... but most of those may be resolved rapidly.
