Hello Wojtek,

I don't want to discourage all the famous CMSs around nor solr uptake but xwiki is quite a powerful CMS and has a search that is lucene based.

I've been asked to suggest a framework for managing a website's content and making all that content searchable. I'm comfortable using Solr for search, but I don't know where to start with the content management system. Is anyone using a CMS (open source or commercial) that you've integrated with Solr for search and are happy with? This will be a consumer facing website
with a combination or articles, blogs, white papers, etc.

Have a look at TYPO3. http://typo3.org/
It is quite powerful.
Ingo and I are currently implementing a SOLR extension for it.
We currently use it at http://www.be-lufthansa.com/
Contact me if you want an insight.
