Lucene's MLT just builds a query, augmenting that query with additional boost/function queries should be straight forward. As i mentioned in another thread: we should really refactor MoreLikeThisHandler into a MoreLIkeThisQParserPlugin ... that way you could mix and match it with other boosts using the "query" function type. -Hoss
