I definitely agree with the sentiments of other that Nable et. al replace the need for a separate forum given that we have an active mailing list already.
Martin, you claimed a forum would meet the need of people asking questions over and over. In my opinion, neither email nor forums are ideal for solving that. A wiki on the other hand, is. And Solr has a wiki and I refer to it often.
