I had to add an additional repository to get the failing dependency to resolve:

This is a java based project, and maven is the de-facto standard for Java. What if someone wanted to make use of any of Solr's java libraries in their own JVM based project? There's no (clean) way to do it other than adding it as a maven dependency and importing the class into their code.
