Nope, my memory was faulty: those changes happened in 5.0. (The schemas I've been given, used since time immemorial, are chock full of IntField and DateField.) I'm stuck with reloading. Might as well go to 8.x. Or give up on asking Solr for the schema's uniqueKey, configure the client with the field name and cross fingers. -- Mark H.
