can you share: solr version? zookeeper ensemble type number of shards in the collection? distribution of shard replicas in the SolrCloud?
from there the most obvious question is whether the stack trace is from the shard leader for the collection or the localhost; if they are not the same? There should be significantly more logging associated with this operation?
