Thanks Koji, I've tried KeywordRepeatFilterFactory which keeps the original term, but the Stopword filter in the analysis chain will remove it nonetheless. That's why I thought of creating a separate field devoiding of stopwords/stemmers. Let me know if I'm missing something here.
