 Thank you for the prompt reply. My field definition in schema.xml is :

I commented the existing location_rpt



And added:
<fieldType name="location_rpt"  
class="solr.SpatialRecursivePrefixTreeFieldType"
              
spatialContextFactory="org.locationtech.spatial4j.context.jts.JtsSpatialContextFactory"
               autoIndex="true"
               validationRule="repairBuffer0"
               distErrPct="0.025"
               maxDistErr="0.001"
               distanceUnits="kilometers" />

My Solr version is 6.2.1
