Functions like termfreq operate on single terms post analysis Since it's an analyzed field you have no _term_ "bachelor's degree" or even "bachelor degree" in the field. You have two terms, "bachelor" and "degree". This also assumes that by "zero results" you mean you get no frequency information back.
