Hi, At Alfresco we've become interested in NLP4j. I think we'd prefer to use this library rather OpenNLP. This is due to some internal work that we've already done with NLP4j.
LUCENE-2899 is working on an OpenNLP integration, but is not committed yet. This brings up two questions: 1) Does it make sense to have both OpenNLP and NLP4j analyzers which do many of the same things? 2) Would it possibly make sense to use NLP4j instead of OpenNLP? It's very possible that Alfresco would be willing to take the lead on contributing NLP4j analyzer chains to Lucene/Solr. Joel Bernstein http://joelsolr.blogspot.com/
