Could it be because the solrconfig.xml was created in Solr 5.x, and was upgraded to Solr 6.x, and there is something which I have missed out during the upgrading?
So far for this server, only the schema.xml and solrconfig.xml was carried forward and modified from Solr 5.x. The files for Solr 6.4.1 were downloaded directly from the Solr website, and the index were indexed directly in Solr 6.4.1.
