Hi, I couldn't find anything suspicious. It was allowed to highlight on an indexed="false" field as long as a tokenizer defined on it: https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/solr/Field+Properties+by+Use+Case
May be that is changed. Can you try to highlight on a both indexed and stored field?
