Java Heap Space

I am new in Solr and try to use Jitty and example with 13 million records.
During running it, I have the error -
*HTTP ERROR: 500*

Java heap space



java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space


Any recommendation? We have a million transactions, so would it be better to
use Tomcat?
