Hi Nathan, Thanks for the quick reply. I am here using ferret but looking for advance features like search result highlight, facet search and strong analyzer, (synonym and stop word) capabilities. Which I believe solr server will be able to provide. Considering that I plan to move from ferret to solr solution. Another reason to switch is since my development platform is in windows and production environment in fedora. I need solution to support both. Now considering few days of my playing around with acts-as-solr I found it might leave less than desired. Well from your mail it looks like you integrated searchable module with Solr. Can you give more details on the configurations.
Appreciate your help thanks -dev On 4/17/07, Nathan Woodhull <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
I am using the Solr plugin to the Searchable module. I have made a large number of enhancements to the library to support the application that I am working on that I hope to contribute back to the community soon (multiple indexes, faceted browsing, etc) but for basic stuff, you should find what is there to be adequate. http://searchable.rubyforge.org/ I looked at acts-as-solr when I started this project and was not terribly impressed with it. -Nathan On 4/17/07, amit rohatgi <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hi > > Here are few question for solr integrating with ruby > > 1.
