Hello,

a job with memory 124000 MB is scheduled two times on a node with
"RealMemory=230000" in the slurm configuration.

Since two jobs exceed the configured RealMemory value, I would assume
that only one job can be processed simultaneously. Because a job can
increase the memory usage in course of processing.

Are there exceptions where slurm can exceed the RealMemory limit if
there is still enough memory after the free memory variable?

Many thanks,
Mike
