Hello,

I would like to know if it is normal not to see "slurmd" daemon in systemd
services tree. I have run "systemd-analyze plot > /tmp/plot.txt" and, then, I
have search "slurmd" in that file, but no match is found. I comment it because
I would like if it could be a SLURM problem or a systemd problem (I manage two
small SLURM clusters with CentOS and, in both of them, "slurmd" daemon doesn't
appear).

When I start "slurmd" daemon, I receive these messages:
nov 24 08:31:12 my-system systemd[1]: Starting Slurm node daemon...
nov 24 08:31:12 my-system systemd[1]: Can't open PID file /var/run/slurmd.pid
(yet?) after start: No such file or directory
nov 24 08:31:12 my-system systemd[1]: Started Slurm node daemon.

However, "slurmd" daemon starts OK and I can submit and execute jobs.

I'm wondering if these log ("Can't open PID file /var/run/slurmd.pid") could be
the problem that causes "slurmd" daemon not appears in systemd tree.

Thanks.
