Dear Tina, probably a stupid question, but is there any other MaxJobs limit defined somewhere else above the user association in resource limit hierarchy?
For example, if MaxJobs=10000 in the partition/job QOS and MaxJob=100 in the user association, the QOS limit takes precedence over the user association limit. Thus, the effective limit will be 10000 jobs instead of 100 jobs. https://slurm.schedmd.com/resource_limits.html Best regards Jürgen -- Jürgen Salk Scientific Software & Compute Services (SSCS) Kommunikations- und Informationszentrum (kiz) Universität Ulm Telefon: +49 (0)731 50-22478 Telefax: +49 (0)731 50-22471 * Tina Fora <tf...@riseup.net> [190917 15:42]: > > # sacctmgr modify user lif6 set maxjobs=100 > > # sacctmgr list assoc user=lif6 format=user,maxjobs,maxsubmit,maxtresmins > User MaxJobs MaxSubmit MaxTRESMins > ---------- ------- --------- ------------- > lif6 100 > > > > > Hi, Tina, > > > > Could you send the command you ran? > > > > David > > > > On Tue, Sep 17, 2019 at 2:06 PM Tina Fora <tf...@riseup.net> wrote: > > > >> Hello Slurm user, > >> > >> We have 'AccountingStorageEnforce=limits,qos' set in our slurm.conf. > >> I've > >> added maxjobs=100 for a particular user causing havoc on our shared > >> storage.
