Hi all,
Is there any issue regarding which versions of pmix or ucx slurm is compiled with? should I require installation of same versions in the compute nodes?
I couldn't find any documentation regarding which api from pmix or ucx Slurm is using, and how stable those api are.
I've patched the slurm.spec file, and I *think* the slurmd package should require pmix and ucx (I believe it will work without the packages installed, but I don't want users to issue srun --mpi=list And then be unable to launch with pmix.
Should I also require the pmix and ucx versions on the compute node to be the same (or at least same major) as the packages used to build slurm? Are there known limitations regarding version compatibility between the 3 packages (slurm, pmix, ucx)? The cluster will have openmpi packages built with same pmix, ucx
and slurm. |
