Our cluster stays active 24/7, and we do a variety of things that require a reconfigure from time-to-time (e.g., add new nodes). If we had to wait until jobs stopped to do such things, it would be prohibitive. > On May 28, 2018, at 07:01, Lachlan Musicman <data...@gmail.com> wrote: > > On 28 May 2018 at 20:24, Loris Bennett <loris.benn...@fu-berlin.de> wrote: > Hi Ronan, > > "Buckley, Ronan" <ronan.buck...@dell.com> writes: > > > Hi All, > > > > I am unable to get confirmation from the SLURM documentation that > > there is no impact to active SLURM jobs when “scontrol reconfigure” is > > ran to enforce new SLURM configuration from /etc/slurm/slurm.conf. > > > > Can anybody confirm that there is no impact? > > Reconfigure does not impact jobs. > > Ronan, > > Can confirm similar fears when I stated using SLURM, can confirm Loris' > claim.
