Winesetuptk isn't maintained any more, and it isn't needed to configure wine.
Why do you need it?

Nobody maintains it because it's obsolete and isn't used with current versions
of wine.

Actually iy is, but it isn't listed on the download page. Like all files on sf,
you can't remove a release, but you can hide it.

I'll send in a patch.
Ivan.
I didn't realize that WineSetupTk was depreciated when I wrote. I just want to
play StarCraft and Diablo and was finding the documentation a bit hard to
follow. (I couldn't find my .wine.conf file and got stuck, that's why I
thought I needed WineSetupTk.) I will poke at it a bit

These days Wine is a lot more self configuring than it once was anyway,
we just have a few things that still need to be done (better drive
detection and such) ... what do you want to configure?

Dear Oh Glorious Developers,
(without which none of this would be possible)
I have decided to try Wine for the first time and I'm trying to keep it
simple. You have a link for WineSetupTk but I can't seem to find the file
anywhere! Not sure where it is, but it sounded really help
If you build a binary for older versions of Linux, let me know and I'll put your
binary on the sourceforge page.
AFAIK winesetuptk will only work correctly with the itcl/tck libs shiped in the
tarball.
Ivan.
In the Bugzilla system, including the search page, there is no mention of
Winesetuptk, so I can't tell whether the following bugs are new to you.
These two problems are of considerable import to aspiring Wine users,
particularly if they are running Red Hat Linux 6.2 or equivalent or older
Hi lists,
Winesetuptk 0.7 is at the wine sourceforge page
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=6241
This new version contains an updated winedefault.reg, you don't need to run
regedit winedefault.reg any more, and it's updated to configurate all the
latest and greates
Hi list,
Nobody has reported anything to be broken, so if I don't get any feedback by
tomorrow, winesetuptk 0.7 will be released tomorrow (The 28th) on sourceforge
with no changes respect to rc2.
Ivan.
Rc1 had a bug that caused winesetuptk to crash when it looked for a real windows
drive and didn't find one.
Also, with rc2 winver is set to 98, as a lot of apps refuse to install on 95.

Hi list,
The rc1 of winesetuptk 0.7 is at
http://www003.portalis.it/115/download/prerelease/winesetuptk0.7rc1.tar.bz2
This version is up to date with wine current, there are a few interesting
changes, for example you can find the about box without reading the source, for
details see the changelog.

I can revive my attempt at that, or

I don't think winesetup needs big changes; I'm still not sure about what is

current winedefault.reg, and also updates the dlls that are created when making
a fake windows installation. As I've said, I

Most normal people (Users) don't want to edit config files or use a shell.
That's why most people don't use linux. Winecfg isn't complete, winesetuptk will
go soon, but in the mean time it's the best way to configure wine. I get emails
all the time from people thanking m
