Hi,
You should probably edit your wine config file in .wine/config (if you
have one) to run war3.exe in a window. This will possibly allow you to
view any traceback information. The other thing is that you should make
sure that you are running Warcraft 3 in OpenGL. The command is:
wine war3.exe -o

I was recently messing around with Oliver's new patch and it took me a
while to figure out how to apply it. So, in case anyone else is like me
and doesn't want to ask, the command that I used to patch wine-20050419
from within the wine directory was:
patch -p2 < (path_to_patch)/d3d9p
Hey Everyone,
I don't know if this is relavent, but I have never been able to get the
winealsa driver to work. All it produces is static. I'm using Slackware
10 and alsa-1.0.8 (driver: snd-intel8x0). It is probably a setup problem
on my part.
