Sounds good to me as long as the end result is the
same. :)

Yes, but what do you do when you have a brand new
Linux user with the following criteria:
1. They are on a distro with no Wine RPMs
2. They haven't the slightest idea what configure/
make/ make install means or does
Besides, on the wine-users alias, new users who
install RPMs have no idea there i
I just want to chime in to the group and say that I've
been a regular user of Wine now for close to a year
now. I absolutely **LOVE** wineinstall. In fact, as
a VERY newbie Linux user at the time, Wine was the
very first app I installed on Linux BECAUSE of
wineinstall - otherwise, I probably neve
ite? (I'm a
web developer [client-side], but I'm not a user of
CVS.) :)

P.S. I know I can't be committed to this as the owner,
but I can definately do this as a short-term project
to get the ball-rolling. :)

Hi all,
Are there any plans to spotlight Wine-use success
stories on the WineHQ home page? I always think of
how Disney used Wine to run Photoshop 7 so they could
move to a Linux platform. I'm sure it could draw
additional attention/ support and provide additional
credibility to non-Wine users.

I'd be interested in reading this, but really, I'm all
for simply seeing the Appdb updated. I understand you
guys are busy, but it's been about a month+, and I'm
still waiting on confirmation for my submitted app. ;)
Thanks!
