Can you show the configure flags you're passing to mesa? Also, does it help
if you try starting with EGL_PLATFORM=wayland EGL_DRIVER=egl_gallium?

I'm trying to test wayland on Ubumtu 11.4 (64) with radeon driver (ATI
Radion HD 5670).

except I add --enable-shared-glapi
in the mesa autogen.
