I have removed the old virtuoso.trx file and everything seems in place.

The "It is impossible to have a database file
/media/VirtuosoDBDrive/virtuoso.db with a length not multiple of 2MB” error on
startup indicates and attempt to grow the database, which is done in 2MB
segments, failed during the process probably due to running out of disk space
