Hugh, I used a conductor_dav.vad from the fedora repositories. It has the same size but a different md5 as the one build on FreeBSD, sadly it gives the same error. I deleted my virtuoso installation and database, reinstalled virtuoso, and copied the new .vad over before I started the database. I
