i as looking through the http log and it appeared to me it was NCSA formatted.
As all of our clients access data through http sparql i was wondering if it is
possible to add a field containing the response time of each request.

I have attached a file which is a trace of the request produced by using
TamperData in Firefox. My version of Virtuoso is 6.1.3127 so maybe it is fixed
in the 6.2 releases?
I can also reproduce this error using SPASQL by making the request via the
ADO.Net provider.

With current version of Virtuoso, I can't reproduce this error.
I get results like
