thanks so much for your help guys i'v managed to get around the problem. i
changed the
tomcat server i'm using to 5.5.25 and discarded the bundled one.i hink it was
the one
giving me problems.

i try to use the bundled tomcat with netbeans on windows XP.
when i try to deploy, i get this error about tomcat authorization:
