Problem solved!! Yes, I had been switching appBase paths trying to get it sorted. Deleting the rogue XML files has fixed the problem. I've been chasing red herrings half the day. Thank you very much for recognising the probable cause, and pointing me in the right direction. Regards, Chris.

Sorry, try this instead... optomus:/usr/local/tomcat/conf/Catalina# ls blog.christopher.net.nz blog.optomus.com localhost [I have no defined for this next one, so I guess it's safe to delete] optomus:/usr/local/tomcat/conf/Catalina# ls blog.christopher.net.nz/ christopher.xml host-manager.xml
