Excerpt from svn help:
$ svn --help co
-N [--non-recursive] : obsolete; try --depth=files or
--depth=immediates
--depth ARG : limit operation by depth ARG ('empty', 'files',
'immediates', or 'infinity')
In standard usage I believe you should be
