I have a subversion tree that has several sub-folders (buried deep in
the tree) that contain large amounts of media files... mp3, m4v,
What I am trying to do is to checkout "smaller" versions of my
repository by setting those media folders to be --depth empty.

When using svn:externals property to have within-repository links, is
there a way to recursively freeze the revision? With one level, I can
use the "-rN" tag, but in the next level, the revision is checked out as
the head. This makes tagging releases quite hard.
