There is RTEMS 5 support for the MVME2500 made by Sebastian Huber.
Unfortunately, I have not been able to test it properly with EPICS7.
I will try it after the Epics meeting and will report.

You could try to build with the APU support - then you get
(single-precision only)
FP hardware support; it should work with normal context switching since
the APU
shares the registers with the integer processor.
