All I can say is WOW! It looks a bit better and is *FAST* now. I've been using 3.4.0 seems like forever and it seemed like it also took forever to open anything with it, but after installing 4.0.0 anything I do with it is extremely fast. So far all I have is great praise for the AOO team

All of this seems rather convoluted and complicated. Why can't AOO be made to recognize Google, as it has been made to recognize its compatibility with Microsoft .doc etc. etc. instead of pushing blame in Google's direction. I find it difficult to accept there is no work around to this problem.

Hi Steve Umm!! I've not experienced this. Yes by default LO4 will load and save the new file formats, but you can change this by "File - Save as" then choose the format you want from the deopdown "Save as type" list. You can also permanently set this in "Tools - Options - Load/Save - General
