I have been using netbeans since it was called Forte For Java...
and enjoying cvs integration with the org-netbeans-lib-cvsclient
plugin.
This plugin disappeared from official repositories some years ago,
but I have managed to install the old ones up to Netbeans 21

better late than never :). The upgrade went flawlessly,

Netbeans is not just used to develop new projects and new code.
It is used with existing code bases and companies with long lived projects.
My vote again keep SVN, and continue to offer the CSV support that exists.
