plugins works. I receive no certificate
errors, and plugins are installable.
So either NB 12 has problems in this area when running on JDK8, or there’s an
issue with my local version of JDK8.

Excited to try out NetBeans 12. I've downloaded the latest LTS release this

When selecting the 'Check for Updates' under Plugins menu I am receiving
