Go wireless. I use a logitech with unifying software so I can use one
dongle with my mouse and Keyboard. Unlike Microsoft Ones, you can reassign
the connection between dongle an mouse/keyboard as needed in case you lose
or one of them becomes defective.

For years, if I hovered the mouse over a folder, it would show me the
subject of the most recent message.
Now it is showing how many messages unread. I can SEE that always
displayed with the folder name...
So what changed and how do I change things back?

I did the same thing with gnome and the mouse
is not confined.
And I will probably erase them both in a week or so.

willing to try and
