unlike previously, where the reader would simply timeout and stop blinking
(I never actually use it), now it's just left on forever.

The lsusb report the unit as
Bus 001 Device 005: ID 147e:1002 Upek Biometric Touchchip/Touchstrip
Fingerprint Sensor
If I start the fprintd daemon, in the log I read:
Feb 23 22:40:15 pc-delo systemd: Starting Fingerprint Authentication
I have that same experience and I use a password login...

I've seen a bug for a while and was going to file a bug, but was
hoping to confirm that others see it as well.
When I log into Gnome by swiping my finger, it logs in and then
immediately kicks out the the screen saver, requiring a second login.
