This is how a lot of "charging" cables work - they might be able to pass
100W (or more) in power delivery mode, but only USB2 data signal

This is USB 2.
Just because a cable has a USB-C connector on it doesn't indicate what
protocol it can handle.

I have seen usb3 charging cables (data is usb2).
