i was trying to build a bootable USB drive for tails testing and somwhow, i

so, as i was on f21, i jumped up to f23, but crave turmoil avoidance.

and since I keep the important data files on a seperate partition the live
usb is my recovery. Just reinstall. Back up in usually <30 minutes; minus
the eye candy.

than a rescue disk ;). Just boot the live system, and `su -', and start
troubleshooting.
For your particular grub problem, after the su, you can simply do grub
install on the boot partition from your live system.

I tried to upgrade my Fedora 18 x86_64 on my Lenovo X121e laptop from
grub-efi to grub2-efi with a failure to boot. I followed the wiki
entry for Fedup, under "Updating GRUB".
From a rescue disk, I cannot run efibootmgr. The response is always,
