If you are using the nouveau drivers, you could try switching to
the rpmfusion closed source nvidia drivers.

I have a Asus ROG Zypherus G14 with Radeon and NVidia inside. I have a
display issue. There is like a rectangle following the mouse which keeps
the original square and doesn't move until I remove the cursor. The video
below is an example, it's extremely annoying.
