I have the same problem with nvidia, while satisfying the requirements

Google Maps reliably crashes its tab in both Firefox and Google Chrome
on my Radeon-based system (FirePro V4900). The only workaround seem to
be to completely disable WebGL in one or both browsers.
I don't see this on my Intel GPU-based laptop.
Anyone else?
