Hi,
Just looked into the issue, the root cause is due to that 2 different
updates are being built and pushed simultaneously in 2 different
side-tags for 2 different sobumps, and one overrides another.
This is being be sorted out by following update:

I have a laptop with i7-13700, /proc/cpuinfo shows 20 cpus and displays

btrfs property set /SWAP compression no
seems that this lead to something strange, while I can't tell why but
it is totally fine to do so, since nocow means no datacsum and no
compression

Yes, only available on 5.x+ kernel and only for one disk btrfs volume.
And for btrfs, nocow means no checksumming. Because you can't keep atomicity
with csum when not using cow.

That is where exact where the problem exact is. Do you get a failure state
from systemd status and unable to start that?

And the problem may be with the USB device itself, maybe a malformed response
to your computer, and can you try to do a reset but unplug the card reader?
If system boots, the problem can have nothing to do with BIOS/UEFI but can be
your specific card reader and motherboard related.

That is mysterious, since a normal reset won't fix, I guess this have something
to do with both your BIOS/UEFI and kernel.
That is to say, BIOS/UEFI gives wrong information to kernel and crashed a
kernel driver. And the kernel thinks the oops is fatal and panicked.
I don't know the reason, but
You need to install devel packages (e.g. openssl v.s. openssl-devel)
And when dealing with pkg-config, there is a more convenient way:
sudo dnf install 'pkgconfig(package-name)'
pkgconfig(foo) is the devel-files for package foo.
This case you need things like
sudo dnf install 'pkgconfig(fontconfi
I'd guess it is a routine update which need your permit to proceed.
And since you are using f30, I suggest you do a distro-update.
