It is also a bit risky to to just give your whole /home to a
application when it probably contains lots uf subdirectories with
valuable data.
I would have created a /home/dnf supbir and use that as downloaddir.

4.3 to get it working again.
I used the 'lpf' tool ((Local Package Factory) to install skype...
(just google 'lpf skype')
a a certain point it just
becomes slow. Therefor I just quit FF overy couple of days and restart it.

I also have sound problems on a studio 1750.
I'm running KDE and most of the time have no sound after logging in.
But what seems to always work is:
killall pulseaudio
After that sound works fine!

his, I have simialr problems with pulseaudio. Everytime I start
my laptop and log in to KDE pulseaudio does not work properly. Playing
mp3 just gives no sound (using mplayer). Playing movies on youtube or
other sites gives no sound with the movie and the movie plays at very fast
speed.
But

or alsamix does not help.
Then for so,e reason I killed the pulseaudio process and restarted it
manually form a Kconsole. Guess what! I suddenly do get real sound!
Playing youtubes with firefox still had problems (no sound and hangin
