I have a few little scripts that crontab runs. Well it runs the espeak
commands but no sign of it running the zenity bits
In crontab:-

File Joe-drink-water-reminder contains:-

Just got a Canon LIDE 120 scanner. Neither Simple scan nor xsane detect it,
though lsusb sees that it's connected.
I bit of Googling makes me wonder if I need to exchange it.
Is there a way to get it to work?

Trying to install Fedora 20 to a replacement Kingston SSDNOW300V 120 GB
SSD, from the live CD (Mate DE spin). The previous similar SSD died after 4
months excellent use.

I have gone the XFCE route, but failing that I would have picked the KDE

Hi all,
Done fresh install of F15 on 5 year old desktop using i386 DVD (which
tested good).
Shutdown is too fast (less that 10 seconds).
After several restarts I can see the last line displayed for a half second
shows:-
Cannot finalize remaining file systems and devices, giving
Rule No 1 ish.
Do the updates, and it'll probably solve itself!

Installed f13 on 40GB HDD using DVD i386 - all ok.
But when I change monitor, keyboard & mouse it boots to a
point prior to the user log on screen.
Any pointers?
