In my searches, didn't come across that thread. It was my first time on
Discord.
I didn't have to re-install the kernel, just ran the script that Villy
Kruse recommended.

I reported strange things with emacs earlier, but I thought it might be
something wrong with my partially configured system.
Nope, it is just plain busted. I've added this bug report:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2249379
I guess I'll have to try building from the fedora 38 source

Linux Lovers,
With my respects to Andre Robatino , Samuel Sieb , Harald Labes , ja (?) ,
and Tom Horsley : Your advises did not have any results.
Giving Dnf install ffmpeg creates the following message :
Error/Problem
ffmpeg.6.0-16.fc39.x86_64 from rpmfusion requires
ffmpeg-libs(x86_64)
Hay All,
When I try to install skypeforlinux 8.108.0.205-1.x86_64.rpm I get the
message Certificate and Primery key invalid and both seem to be not alive.
Question : How can the keys become valid and alive ?
Question : Is this a Microsoft problem ?
Regards,
Ger van Dijck.

This is not correct. SSL ≠ SSH. They use similar encryption, but they
are different protocols and not using the same port.
