I have a cheesy yum plugin I hacked up that allows me to run a script right after yum finishes. I find this very useful to restore hacks I may have made to my system which updates may reverse. This seems like such a useful concept, I figured there would be an official plugin of some kind to do thi

it turns out the external ADSL modem was configured in a state to block incoming ssh connections.
