Specifically the install section. I'm not understanding how the
%install section works with the %files section.
I hope this is not considered OT.
Let's say I want my rpm to install the file "hello"
in /tmp on a target system. The %prep and %build sections work OK and

The "yum clean packages" command removes all cached rpms as desired, but leaves
all the drpm files. I wondered why my disk space was getting tight on a small
server, and that was the issue. Is that intended behavior?
I'll be happy to file a bug if not.

I believe tunefs has some ability to work this, though I've never personally
attempted recovery with it.
Another excellent set of tools comes from runtime.org. They have excellent
tools for recovery both on Windoze and Linux, too.

I'm using Fedora 14 and I think I have the correct RPMs installed in

This set up works fine for the vast majority of MP3s that I have. But

I see regularly where new(er) users wonder why they see packages
installed with dist tags from previous versions of Fedora.
I understand why this occurs but now that I've gotten into building
some of my own packages I started to wonder how it is determined if a
package needs to be rebuilt or not.

HI,
I know that not really an open source advice, but I suggest to use the
latest radeon driver from the AMD site. First you have to remove these
kernel parts, and replace with the mentioned official drivers. I use

Hello,
I have to use the rpmfusion catalyst driver for my ATI Radeon HD 3470 on
my F14 system because of a bug in the open source driver since f12 for
that specific model. The catalyst driver worked fine with version

Hello.
Imagine a fairly large network, with from 50-100 workstations running Fedora.
Due to security, none of these machines have access to Internet.
Now to the question; how to keep all those machines up to date with the latest
