It is much clear now. I have been researching and I
think Mike's solution will do the job I am looking for. John's approach will be
very difficult for me since I am still learning Apache, but I will research
about it.

This is a DNS configuration issue. If you
are hosting your own DNS, it's very simple to do just that. Have xxx.com
point to 111.222.333.444 and yyy.xxx.com point to 555.666.777.888. If
that's the only site you are hosting on that server (yyy.xxx.com) then apache

You can't have a domain in different places, far as
I know. But, you can put a page on your domain at www.mydomain.com/subdomain, and
have it refresh to your ADSL-connected server. refresh is an http command
in the page header.
