I am trying to store the Apache logs to an Oracle DB for analysis purposes.
I have looked for it on the net and found many different ways.
What would be the recommended/safer way to do this? By safe I mean that don't
want the server to crash in case the DB is down, etc.

1) Apache serves the compressed jar.pack.gz file when the encoding accepts
pack200-gzip
2) Do that for all the files on the server (not only directory specific)
3) Both the .jar and the .jar.pack.gz should be there, and depending on the
